A small pitcher or jug, produced by Reinhold Merkelbach in the late 1800's.
This model is in the so-called historismus-style, and is a variation to the wellknown theme of bearded jugs or bellarmine jugs.
Jugs like this would have been sold as water jugs or as decorative pieces for the souvenir trade.
