What a fantastically funny scene on this stoneware stein:
A parade of animals.. all of them hunter's prey.. but there's a twist! They're all quite happy, because they are in a parade.. to bury the hunter!
The hunter has obviously died and been put in a coffin. The coffin is carried on the back of 2 deer. A boar is in the parade also.. carrying a shovel to dig the hole. At the front of the parade are a fox and a hare. The fox is leading the parade, while reading from a book (probably the Bible). The bunny behind him is carrying a cross.
In the back of the animal parade are the hunter's horse and the hunter's dogs..
A sad parade for the hunter.. but a happy one for the animals!
