A replica historic jug, produced by Reinhold Merkelbach from the early 20th century until well after WW2 as part of a series of 45 reproductions of historic jugs. Reinhold Merkelbach copied originals that were in museums all over Germany.
The original of this specific model came from the Hetjensmuseum in Düsseldorf.
The verse on the body reads: " Gott gebe,Gott grisse,Wein und Bier,schmeckt süsse,versauf ich die Schuh,so behalt ich die Füsse!"
