A small covered jar by Villeroy & Boch, produced in Mettlach, Germany, in 1913.
The jar measures 10.8cm in diameter and is, including it's cover, 9cm high. It is a plain tan color with a geometric design all around in a narrow band.
The original use could have been for butter, sugar or any other substance that is used in a kitchen.
