A large plate designed by Peter Dümmler in 1883, as is clearly incised in the clay on the back.
Since "May" is written in English (in German that month is written as "Mai"), this piece was most likely for export.
A very nice plate, and with a diameter of 36cm (14in) it is a large one too.
