A design by Karl Mehlem. The original design dates from circa 1912. The jug has been produced probably into the 1930's.
Bulbous jug wirh geometric circular design. The example pictured is in so-called Kölnisch-braun color (Cologne-brown).
In the late 1900's this jug was re-issued by Merkelbach Manufaktur as a collectible in a limited edition of 1,000 pcs.
