Pschorrbrau Munchen
This is one of the 6 Oktoberfest brewery OGs. In fact, Pschorr’s roots date back to 1417. For perspective, that’s 359 years before US’s birthday.
At this time, I’m unable to assign a specific date/year to this stein. I know it falls between 1888-1938 due to the “PAUSON” and “MUNCHEN” touchmarks. See link below.
Did Pauson, Martin or Hugo, only finish the pewter work or did they also produce and design this stein???
Also, I have done some reading on the “Schutz Marke” trademark, and for dating purposes, the best I could find is 1880s to early twentieth century, on most German steins. But it does not seem to be a very helpful mark for trying to date a stein more accurately???
As always, I welcome and appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Note: Beer steins became. an important part of the business by 1888 but were forced to sell in 1938 due to pre-WW2 situation.
