This stein was made by Hauber & Reuther in the Freising factory 1882-1886. It has the HR logo and a mold number 187/1 on the base This stein body was used for various subjects, this one looks like three Diplomats drinking and trying to solve the worlds problems. The 1/2L has two horizontal capacity marks, but only one has the two vertical end marks. The body is about 5-3/4" and 8-1/4 to the finial. The only wording is "Diplomaten" Diplomats. The pewter lid was engraved with BACHUS, if it was Bacchus it would be the Roman god of wine, agriculture and fertility.
