1 Liter stoneware stein by Rastal, designed by Rupert Stöckl to celebrate the founding of the Oktoberfest Museum Registered Association, in 1976. This was made in a stein and mug version.
The 1/2 liter „FS“ capacity mark in a rhombus is the mark of the firm F.K. Ströder & Sohn, Krug und Steinzeugfabrik, Rheinstrasse 14, Mogendorf/westerwald that was a subcontractor for Rastal and produced the early Oktoberfest Jahreskrüge (Annual Commemorative Stein) blanks for Rastal (Source: Swett, Walter. Prosit, March 2024, The FS Mark on The Oktoberfest Jahreskrüge. Pg 32).
The writing on the bottom translates to: „Design by“ and the signature of the artist „Rupert Stöckl“.
This stein was made in 1978 and the total number produced, both with and without lids was 3,000 (Source: Mück, Walter. Oktoberfest-Krüge 1976-1990, Fischbachau 1991, pg 11).
