Though it may look like it this is not a bowling pin. It's a kegel, which serves the same function in kegeling as a pin in bowling. Bowling evolved in the United States from kegeling. The decoration is applied drelief and is a standard pin boy celebration of an alle neun (all nine), here represented by the number 9. This also exists with one other decoration. Also it exists as a 1.5L.
