Open 5 ring hinge c.1895-
Pressed glass with molded decoration depicting 2 cherubs drinking. The stein was initially marked as 0.5 L, but that was scratched out and an 0.45 L mark was etched on the other side of the rim.
The lid is inlaid with a porcelain insert depicting a lady in a floral shop looking for a gift for newlyweds.
The text reads:
"Lady: Do you have something sensible for a newly married couple?
Seller: Sure, just take that cranesbill."
The "cranesbill flowers" are also called "storkbeaks", therefore suggesting the bird that delivers babies.
