Marzi & Remy made steins 1879-1994, this "art nouveau Floral Design" stein is about 5" tall. It has a 0,5L capacity mark and #2311 on the base, no makers mark or Germany. In 1887 it was required to have Germany on all exports. This stein was made for the German market so it wasn't required. The art nouveau style was started around 1880, and was most popular 1890-1910. The pewter lid looks like King Gambrinus sitting in a chair holding a stein, most times he is sitting on or near a beer barrel. I like the lid, but I think it is a replacement because of the hinge.
