Reed & Barton began in 1824 when Isaac Babbitt created a new metal alloy "Britannia metal" in his Taunton, Massachusetts pewter shop. He joined forces with craftsman Henry G Reed and Charles E Barton. They stayed in business until 2015. On the base it has Reed & Barton 0240 and it's about 12-1/4" high and about 5-1/4" across the base.
