J.W.Remy made steins 1864-1966 this "Scrollwork" stein is 1/2L and about 6-3/4" tall and has mold #109 the base, no makers mark or Germany. In 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. The three ring heavy pewter hinge was used around 1875-1895. This stein may have been made around 1875-1886. This stein isn't in the Beer Stein Library, When I looked in the Stein Collectors International old catalog section there were two #109 J.W.Remy hand drawn pictures from different catalogs that don't look alike. I borrowed a photo of a #109 from Anton Ozhug from this site and the capacity marks are identical. I have seen discrepancies in hand drawn pictures before. This handle isn't in the BSL either.
