Simon Peter Gerz made steins 1862-1999. This "Tavern Scene" stein has a 0.5L capacity mark, makers mark, mold number #415 and Germany on the base, it's about 9" tall. 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This heavy three ring pewter hinge was used around 1875-1895. This stein was probably made around 1887-1895
