J.W.Remy made steins 1864-1966, This "Renaissance Scenes with Saying" is about 6-3/4" tall. It has a 1/2L capacity and mold number #118, but no Germany or makers mark. In1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. So this stein was probably made 1864-1886, it has a heavy three ring pewter hinge.
