M&W made steins 1872-1921, this "Gnomes with Saying" stein is about 6-1/4" to the top of the lid. It has a 1/2L capacity mark and a #77B mold number under the handle. There is no M&W logo or Germany. It was required in 1987 to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This stein was probably made 1872-1886.
