This 1L turned stoneware stein with Lowenbrau Keller "No 79403" doesn't have any other marks on it and it's about 7-1/4" high. Pewterer Heinrich Dietsch 1885-1935 made the lid and his touch mark is on the bottom. It has an open pewter hinge.
Ground breaking for the Munchen Lowenbrau Keller was in 1861 and the Grand opening was in 1863. 1894 the old tower was replaced, 1895 Napkins & electric lights, 1911 The lion at rest on the entrance roof, 1944 Air raid, it was mostly destroyed, 1950 Reconstruction, 1955 Reopening, 1958 Some Renovation.
Some Beer tokens or Bier Marks from the Munchen Lowenbrau Keller, the octagon and the two smaller circular token are for1/2L and the others are for 1L or Mass Krug.
