Merkelback & Wick made steins 1872-1921, this is about 6" tall. This generic stein (no mold #) has a 1/2L capacity mark and a M&W logo on the bottom. It has a Burger Brau transfer "PUG" print under glaze. This one has two large red areas just below the Frauenkirche Church, I haven't seen many of this style. The pewter lid has Munchener Burger-Brau and the twin towers of Frauenkirche. Under the lid is a touch mark by Nathan Bauernfreund, pewterer and Decorator, in business 1883-1911.The edge of the pewter lid is engraved "Dr. Bruno Francke s/l Wilhelm Dan Bergman. Hochst jan. 1901 Juli". The PUG has "Munchener Burger-Brau Gegr Burgerliches Brauhaus Munchen 1654 & Schutz-Marke"
(Munich Burger Brau Founded Burgerliches Brauhaus Munich 1654 & Protection trademark)
