No makers mark, mold number or Germany, but the 1/2L capacity mark looks like a Merkelback & Wick mark. M&W made steins 1872-1921, this generic stein is about 5-3/4" to the top of the lid. This is probably a transfer "PUG" print under glaze. The other 1/2L capacity mark is from the Beer Stein Library "capacity marks by manufacture" M&W #4. This five ring open pewter hinge was used around 1900 to modern day.
