Albert Jacob Thewalt made steins 1897-2009, this stein is about 7" tall. It was made in Western Germany and has a Thewalt triangle logo on the base, but no capacity mark or mold number, but it's listed as #9001. According to the Beer Stein Library this is circa 1980 and is a reproduction of Thewalt character stein #175. But the reproductions were made using the original molds. The originals had a pewter ring between the head and stein body.
