Made by J.W.Remy #1283 0,5L about 9" tall. This stein seems to have it all, a lot of HB steins, Ram in the Barrel, Monkey handle, Tom Cat in front and some radishes. This one has Made in Germany not West Germany and has1283 on the base.
Stosst dich der Bock, dann trotze du, Wirft er dich um, dann-gute Ruh!
(If the bock hits you, resist, If it throws you, than rest well.)
According to the Beer Stein Library the original barrel was a darker brown and the Ram was grayish. Some early reproductions had 1283 on the base but most had 11283.
J.W.Remy must have sold the mold to Simon Peter Giles and they made steins with some changes and without a mold number for the Louis F Neuweiler brewery in Allentown Pennsylvania USA. On some, another banner was added under the original banner with (NEUWEILER) on it. But most of the beer steins had a capital N instead of HB on the lid "except for one limited color stein I saw, it still had HB on the lid". The logo on those steins are S over a G.
