"Shiny" pewter lid and hinge, lid stamped D.B.G.M., closed 5 ring hinge, sweeping curve from
tang to tip of thumb lift indicates post-1949.
Originally produced in 1.5L and 3L sizes with figural lids and signed "GK" (name unknown).
Versions were produced in various sizes with pewter lids c.1960. I have 3 of the later versions,
two have a mold letter after the number, these two do no bear the "GK" mark.
The stamped mark "Copyright MR 722 Germany" is unidentified.
