Kegeling stein. The lid insert (the diamond formation in wich kegels were placed) and the thumblift (a kegel) were commanly used on V&B's steins featuring kegeling. One small mystery in the decoration is the fox on the right side. The pig on the left side is expected as Glücksschwein (lucky pig) was commonly featured on kegeling steins. But this is the first time I've encountered a fox on one.
“All’ neun und Kranz beim Kegelspiel — wer das nicht schiebt, der schiebt nich viel.”
(All nine and wreath, while bowling — he who does not knock them over, does not knock over much.) (TBSL)
