The relief lids depicts a likeness of Franz Halmanseger who died in 1962. Between 1920-1962 he was the festival barker whose elegant motions enticed the public into the Hippodrome marquee with its horse racing track. Known as "that guy at the Hippodrome", whose regular job was at porter at the central railway station.
