Produced by Rastal as mug and stein, I have examples of both in my collection.
Designed by Moritz Breitenhuber (Munich, Germany)
The lid relief depicts Michael August Schichtl (1851-1911), a Munich theater director, magician and drum virtuoso, perhaps best known for creating the illusion of “decapitating a living person by guillotine”, a trick that remains a staple performance component among stage magicians even today.
