Produced by Rastal as both mug and stein, I have examples of both in my collection.
Designed by Akim Sämmer (Munich, Germany)
The lid relief depicts Wilhelmine Reichard (1788-1848), who at age 23 became the first woman to fly in a hot air balloon, taking off from Munich’s Theresienwiese during the 1820 Oktoberfest and landing some twelve miles away in the town of Zorneding. (BSL)
