This stein is for the Marine Heavy Helicopter squadron, HMH-362, known as the Ugly Angels. The inscription "From Soc Trang to Anbar" refers to the squadron's history. They were the first Marine aircraft unit deployed in Vietnam. This was at Soc Trang in April of 1962. Anbar refers to the ancient city in Iraq. The Ugly Angles have served in every mid east military action. Not a traditional Cold War stein, HMH-362 never served in Europe. But I would consider it to be ancillary to a Cold War collection.
