A cut glass stein with an exceptionally elaborate and heavy pewter lid and thumblift.
The inside of the lid is marked 'Kreitman'. According to the website steinmarks.co.uk Kreitman was a dealer who purchased steins from other producers. [link]
In this case the pewter work was probably done by the pewterer Bartholomäus Pruckner. [link]
Total height: 28cm (21 cm excluding the lid)
Sadly the stein has some damage (a crack in the glass near the top handle attachment and a small repair on the pewter finial), but the very rare pewter fittings make up for it.
