A eary 20th century beer stein, made in Germany.
The base is marked with the mold number 982. However, in the decor we find the number 892. Since the number in the decor is most likely also created in the mold, and not stamped in afterwards, I assume that the actual mold number is 892.
The fact that the mold number in the base is accompanied by a seperate one-digit number (9), I believe this stein was produced by Marzi & Remy, since they are as far as I know the only producer that used such a combination of two numbers.
However, an old Marzi & Remy catalog shows a differently shaped body with the mold number 892..
