I believe this to be a westerwald jug, but not 100% sure. I found it in Belgium, just as an almost identical jug that I have had in my collection for years already. I would not be surprised if this jug turned out to have been produced in for instance Bouffioulx or some other ceramics area in Belgium, instead of the usual suspect, the westerwald region.
Any additional insight is always welcome.
