A pottery stein with a domed pewter lid.
The stein's body is glazed in a white color.
The stein's pewter lid has a stamped maker's mark on the inside, which sadly is not clear enough to help me date the stein.
I do not know where and when this stein was produced. I am inclined to think it is not a German stein, since I have never before seen a German made stein in this specific material and with such a pewter lid and hinge.
Any information or clues to where it may have been made are very welcome.
