A clear, pale green tinted glass stein, blown with handle attached. The body has simple cut arch and window patterns. The basic pewter lid has wear marks that show it has never fitted properly at the front, despite at some time having been hammered below the hinge! The lid is marked '34' at the front, with a graver, and on the glass, a capacity mark of '0.5L', with a glass engraving tool. A nice functional stein that has survived! Is '34' an inn keeping track of its steins? A regular customer? Or a drinker, to check he gets his refilled stein back?
