The original three royal factories never made steins. An stein using a capodimonte crown over N mark that was used by the second Naples royal factory or some variation was made in one of the imitation factories that began making pieces marked and sold as capodimonte later such as this one. They are of wildly varying quality, this is one of the better ones. The lid and mounts are brass with a pewter thumblift. The inside of the body and lid are gilded.
