A rare Mettlach stein, depicting the city of Wartberg.
Mold number 2828. Ceramic lid with a castle scene.
1/2 liter capacity.
The base still has an original retailer's label of "Carl Queel Spielwaaren .... Nürnberg" (I cannot decipher the label completely).
Made in 1903.
Total height including ceramic lid: 22.5 centimeters.
The stein is in good condition, except for a small problem on the ceramic lid: the large tower has at some point been broken off and reglued. It is also missing a tiny fraction of its top. This damage is hardly visible and does not distract from the overall beauty of this stein.
This stein is for sale. I am open to bids. Located in Holland, I ship worldwide.
