Early Merkelbach stein produced in grey stoneware and decorated in blue and black. In front of the stein is a saying: Nach des Tages Schweiß, Den kühlen Trunk ich preiß (after the day sweat, the chill drink I praise). On the pewter lid is an inscription: Anna Geijer den 12t.
