art nouveau bisquit box glazed and kobalt blue decorated stonewere. This jugendstil biscuit box was designed from the graphic and ceramic artist Gertrud Kraut in 1914. The baker´s Bahlsen has instructed since 1910, continuosly till approx. 1936, graphic artist and artist for the creation of packing of her cake. Ceramic boxes, tins and cardboards were designed. Among the rest, the company Bahlsen has created with it an early brand design and has given a document in style development of jugendstil to the Funktionalismus (Bauhaus). Diameter 18 cm, height 16 cm. No base mark or other signs. Produced by Keramische Werkstätten München - Herrsching circa 1914. Replicas from 1960 - 1980 have a round blue ink stamp on the base with the inscription, for example: Entwurf Gertrud Kraut - H. Bahlsens Keksfabrik 3 Hannover - Neuauflage einer Dose von 1914 (remake of a box from 1914) or others, please see last picture.
