A pewter stein, shaped like a barrel.
Probably roduced in the first half of the 19th century. Manufactured in Carlsbad, Germany.
Pewterer's markings on the inside of the lid: "S.W. Fein Zinn" and "JOS D(?)RUM CARLSBAD"
S.W. probably stands for "Schlaggenwald", an area rich in pewter resources.
Height without lid: 14.3 cm. With lid and finial: 18cm.
