art nouveau bowl styled by August Hanke, produced by Merkelbach in 1916. Salt glazed stein in Cologne brown with circle lines like snails and wave lines. Base marks under glazing difficult to see but I recognize Merkelbach mark from 1916 and mold nr. 2468. Capacity 5,5 litre. Height from base to the top of the lid 27 cm.
