A jug, produced circa 1880 ~1900 by Simon Peter Gerz.
The decoration is in the typical 'historismus' style.
Verse on the front reads "Geliebt, getrunken, gesungen - Wie die Alten so die Jungen", which translates freely as "We loved, we drank and we sang - Both the old and the young people".
