Three Landsknecht

Uit de verzameling van Andrew Ives

Porcelain stein. No manufacturer mark or identifiers. It was probably made in one of the many un-named porcelain factories in the Munich area.
Transfer decorated with hand painted accents around the rim and base, and on the handle.
The design of the thumb lift (positioned on the lid), closed 5 ring hinge, and the lid itself is consistent with some pewter I have seen on various glass or porcelain steins from the 1890's-early 1900's.
The lid is personalized "A. Demuth"
The "Reichs Zinn" mark came into use at the beginning of the German Empire c.1871. The mark was commonly used until c.1918, but can also be seen on later pewter.
