A mug without the manufacturer's mark and without a catalog number. Only the capacity mark given. Unfortunately without the tin cover that was originally present. The entire decoration is completed by hand-dying the mug with cobalt.
The mug is finished in the so-called technique. salt glaze. After my little "investigation", I conclude that the mug comes from the second half of the 19th century from the westerwald region, Germany. The manufacturer is probably Reinhold Hanke - I conclude this from the handle and the capacity sign (compared with the mugs from the Reinhold Hanke catalog). Similarly, the pattern and inscription on the mug is identical to, for example, no. catalog 203.
