I don’t know what to call this stein other than to refer to it by the mark on the base.
The following mark is on the base in red ink stamp:
Edm. v. KÜnig
Heidelberg
Note: There is what looks like an incised number “3” next to the ink stamp mark.
Edmund von Koenig in Heidelberg, Baden (now Baden-Württemberg) Kunstverlag und Gemischtwarenhandel. / Art Publishers & General Merchandise Store.
They purchased all their steins from:
Villeroy & Boch - Mettlach & Marzi & Remy.
Known dates: 1882/3 to the current day. This company certainly has stood strong now for 141 years or so.
I was able to find their stamps on SteinMarks, but not one identical to the one on this stein. The letters are the same, but this one is a RED INK STAMP, versus incised examples on SteinMarks UK.
I think if I can find another red ink stamp like this one, it may help with more concrete date?
I do not know if the producer was Mettlach or MR or the date.
The person I bought this stein from believed it to be from 1920-1930 period and a Mettlach.
If anyone knows for sure, please send me email. I really would like to know more about this one.
I bought this one because I really liked the design and the colors, especially the blue and green. I believe some of the design is hand-painted.
Also, because I have many good memories of Heidelberg, both the city and the castle, which is part of the beautiful and bright design.
I used Google translator for the writing on either side of the stein. It’s probably not correct. It also doesn’t mean much to me at this point, but I’m determined to find more about its meaning.
Google Translation follows:
German: M Seidelberg du Feine. du Stadt an Ehren reid.
English: M Seidelberg you Fine. you honor the city.
The other side says:
German: amTeckar und am Rheine, heir' andre Kommt dirglich.
English: on the Teckar and on the Rhine, here come others.
Really like to look at this one!!!

Nice souvenir stein for the city of Heidelberg and the rivers Neckar and Rhine.
I suspect the stein body was made by Marzi & Remy. If the inside of the body is a glazed white, however, it could be by V&B Mettlach.
