"Hoch lebe der Kutscher" is what is written on the front panel of this occupational stein. (A 'Kutscher' is a coachman.)
On the rim of the foot is the name to whom this stein was once presented: "Johann Sangl".
And on the top rim is the text:
"Imer lustig u. fidel, wän i fahr, fahr i schnell.
Dank im i glei wieder hoam, zu mein Dirndl,
den kloan."
This half liter capacity occupational beer stein is marked on the base with an impressed number 5 (a mold number presumably). Also the initials L.E. are present, most likely the initials of the artist that decorated the stein and/or wrote the phrases.
