Marzi & Remy made steins 1879-1994. This "1913 Official Turnfest souvenir stein" is about 8 tall. It has a 1L M&R capacity mark but no other marks. There is no Germany on the base because it was meant for the German market. Designed by Franz Ringer for the 12th Official Turnfest held in Leipzig "50 years after the 3rd Turnfest in 1863 that was also held in Leipzig." The pewter lid has the 4F symbol "Frisch, Fromm, Froehlich, Frei" (Fresh, Pious, Happy and Free). It is a "PUG" print under glaze with white hand painted highlight that you can really feel on the 4F and banner over the eagle. Also there is an official Bronze medallion from the 1913 Turnfest commemorating the 50th anniversary.
