This unknown #232 stein with a closed pewter hinge is about 6" high and doesn't have a capacity or makers mark. But it has a fancy Gothic "S" on the base. I do have two other steins with the same S. I think all three were made in one of the 16 Regensburg factories. After the steins were first taken out of the molds and inspected. Someone would apply the capacity mark, molds number and possibly their own personal inspection mark. If anyone has any info on this please let me know.
