Merkelback & Wick made steins 1872-1921, but this stein only has a M&W 1/2 capacity mark and GESETZLICH SCHCHUTZT (Legally Protected). They were marked T.W. for Theodor Wieseler and subsequent retailed by Kunstgewerre-Haus GG. Leykauf. This is a Nurnberg (Nuremberg) souvenir. Ich alt Nurnbergerin bracht' sunst den Tod. I covered it with a piece of clear plastic (no adhesive) and then covered both with clear adhesive tape. This way I can remove the tape without damaging the sticker.
