A beer stein by Johann Peter Thewalt, model 1147.
In April 2021 a visitor of this website commented that "Reinhold Merkelbach-mold 1147 is an absolute match". That is correct. The company Reinhold Merkelbach was most likely the first company producing from this mold (1147). The pictured example however clearly shows the Johann Peter Thewalt factory marking in the base.
On comparison it seems that the foot of the stein differs between Reinhold Merkelbach's version and Thewalt's version.
