Light grey stoneware stein, salt glazed and styled with dwarfs and leafy ornaments by unknown artist. In the middle the saying : Hopfen und Malz Gott erhalts (Hops and malt God preserve it). The capacity mark 1/2 L. is in front of the stein and a sign for an early production. Pewter lid with porcelaine inlet and painting. That stein was produced befor 1890. On the lid stands the name of the bavarian town Reichenhall. In 1890 the town Reichenhall got by royal order the official predicate and the name addition „Bad“ (bath). Bad Reichenhall was now an official watering-place and health-resort. Producer mark from 1882, mold 2 and height 15 cm.
