Albert Hauber became Adam Schön's new partner just in time for the 1876, Art and Industrial Art Exhibit at the Munich Glass Palace. Freising stoneware won a diploma (award) but it also received some criticism when compared to the products of Merkelbach and Wick of Grenzhausen. This criticizm was taken to heart by one of the partners, and eventually had a very positive effect on the future of the Freising factory. During this period the model number was reduced in size.

This is the small font model number that measures 4-5mm in height and may vary slightly in font style. This smaller model number was used through 1886.
